DETOX &

REHAB

An intervention for addiction is a carefully planned process involving family, carers and significant others who care about a person struggling with addiction. Consider intervention as a gift and opportunity for individual to make changes before things get really bad.

Meet Dr. Dixon

What is alcohol and other substance detox?

Detoxification is the first step for someone who is determined to recover from addiction, particularly for alcohol dependency, it is an assisted process of removing toxic substance from the body. During this time, toxics are completely flushed out from your body through systemic interventions or treatment.

Withdrawal symptoms may occur and typically subside within approximately one to two weeks after starting detox; however, this could take longer depending on the severity of your AUD. From there, you will be able to focus on other aspects of the recovery processes such as mindfulness activities, therapies, counseling sessions and rehabilitative support options.

What is Rehabilitation?

Rehabilitation is assisted processes to help individual be restored to health or back to normal lifestyle after going through recovery therapies for addiction or illnesses. Clinicians recognized that going for rehab is a very challenging stage that is why Rehabilitation facilities often have structured therapeutic activities to help combat any hurdles that could potential hinder the recovery processes.

To know more about what happen during detoxifications and rehabilitation, our experienced medical team is here, ready to provide confidential advice, treatment plans, referrals and further information for related health concerns.
