social and mental health.
Mediclinic Clayton is LGBTIQ+ friendly and are currently participating in the
Thorne Harbour Health "All Are Welcome" pilot project.
Mediclinic Clayton provides the following sexual health services:

What do we do?
We are a GP Partner of the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. Though we are a partner, we will work slightly different.
Alongside our regular General Practice work, we conduct Sexual Health assessments, and provide on the day Pathology testing through Clinical Labs. Results are expected back between 2-3 business days.
We want all Melbournians to be tested regularly for sexually transmitted infections.

Payment and Billing
As of the 23rd of January 2023, there will be a private fee for all face to face Sexual Health in Practice clients.
Face to Face New Patient Initial Appointment: You will be charged a private fee for your initial appointment, or any ongoing complex consults as a return patient. Medicare rebate available.
Face to Face Return Appointment: You will be charged a private fee for your appointment, or any ongoing complex consults as a return patient. Medicare rebate available.
Telephone Review Results: You will be bulk billed for your review appointment for results on the phone.
Fees are at the discretion of your Doctor, and complexity will be determined by your history, needs, and the time taken.

What to expect at your appointment
We initially ask you to see our Practice Nurses for a pre-appointment assessment. There they will take your history and reason for appointment.
Then, you will see one of our Practitioners for your consultation. They will provide pathology referrals and any medications you may need.
You are then welcome to re-book an appointment to review results in 2-3 days. Please book ahead of time to avoid any delays in receiving your results.
